On April 22, 1970, that’s over half a century ago, Earth Day was founded by Gaylord Nelson, a junior senator from Wisconsin. Today, Earth Day is the largest secular movement in the world with over 1 billion participants from over 190 countries.

At Anise®, we are also participating in Earth Day by supporting Denver’s Skip the Stuff initiative and partnering with Repeater. Together we can strive for Zero Waste and for reaching a sustainable living style.

Denver’s Skip the Stuff

The Denver’s Skip the Stuff initiative is designed to help the public reduce the amount of waste generated by single-use items. In support of this initiative, for our take outs and delivery customers, Anise will only provide single-use service wares and napkins upon requests by customers. When ordering online, please specifically select the quantity of single-use service wares and napkins in our ZERO-WASTE TAKEOUT section. When ordering via phone, please request the quantity of single-use service wares and napkins at the time of your order. To help protect our planet, let’s work together to reduce the amount of condiments, plastic silverware, and straws that are wasted daily and take a step toward sustainability.

You can now get Anise takeout and delivery in reusable containers thanks to our partnership with Repeater! Help us cut down on single-use waste. Here’s how it works:

  1. Download Repeater.
  2. Order directly from Anise and select Pack in Repeatery Reusables menu item in the ZERO-WASTE TAKEOUT section (Repeater ID required)
  3. Enter your 5-digit repeater ID in the “SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS” section
  4. You’ll get your meal in Repeater’s reusable containers
  5. Return the containers by their due date at a Repeater drop-off bin right inside Anise or right at your door

Repeater will sanitize and reuse the containers, so that you can keep enjoying Anise, without the packaging waste.
